COMPUTER LAB
Siddhartha has the state-of-the-art laboratory in Computer Science. The lab provides high end systems with all the necessary softwares. The unlimited internet facility both broadband and wireless helps the students to work conveniently for all their academic and organizational needs. The computer lab not only garnishes to the needs of the university curriculum, but also to organize Summer projects, Student assignment, Seminars, Online Digital courses, Online Aptitude & Reasoning tests & Student Assessment Tests. The computer lab facilitates students to practise their computing skills with the support of expert Lab Assistants.
CHEMISTRY LAB
The laboratory has instrumentation that facilitates synthesis, qualitative, quantitative analysis of different chemical compounds such as Titrimetry, gravimetry, chromatography. Qualitative analysis deals about the step wise procedures that may be used to identify an unknown compound using classical methods where the physical tests, elementary analysis, solubility tests and procedural details of qualitative analysis are performed. Identification and characterization of the structure of unknown substances constitute vital part of chemistry. Introduction into this area is provided by a study of qualitative analysis.
PHYSICS LAB
The lab suffices to the needs of B.Sc Physics students. The laboratory is categorized to the experiments like Quantum Mechanics, Optics, Electricity, Magnetism, Mechanics, waves & oscillations and Electronics. The labs are well equipped with instruments like Sonometer for measurement of velocity of sound and verification of laws of vibrating strings, electrically vibrated tuning fork to perform Melde’s experiment, compound pendulum, flywheel, traveling microscopes and other supportive experiments required for doing experiments in sound and Mechanics. The laboratory also consists of spectrometers, telescopes, sodium vapour lamps, Mercury lamps, diffraction grating, prisms etc to do optics experiments and modern physics.
ELECTRONICS LAB
The Department of Electronics maintains spacious well-equipped Electronics lab. The experiments related to Circuit Analysis, Electronic Devices, Analog Circuits, Digital electronics, Microprocessor, Embedded systems and Communications are performed in the laboratory. The laboratory is well equipped with advanced apparatus like signal generators and DC regulated power supplies with digital display, digital millimeters, Cathode ray Oscilloscopes, microprocessor and microcontroller kits with accessories like stepper motor, DAC and ADC etc, analog and digital logic trainer kits with inbuilt RPS and pulsar of different clock frequencies. The lab is supported by an expert Lab Assistant.
MICROBIOLOGY LAB
Microbiology laboratory offers requirement infrastructure to promote fundamental research in the subject area. Students get an opportunity to work on Bacteria, Fungi, and Algae from cultivation to observation. Students have done projects in Medicinal microbiology and Microbial biotechnology. Students isolate microbes in pure culture and observe them taking the assistance of faculty in identification.
ENGLISH LAB
Development of Communications & Soft skills plays a pivotal role in improvising the career graph of the students. The English Lab is well furnished with ample number of headsets to help the students to improve their skills through language softwares. The students get exposed to LSRW skills by using the latest online courses.
BIOTECHNOLOGY LAB
Biotechnology is an ideal line of study for the student which helps the student for the close examination of the molecules that carry out such functions as metabolism, movement, gene expression, etc. Biotechnology is housed in a state-of-the-art, integrated science facility, which includes modern classrooms and teaching laboratories as well as a generous amount of laboratory space for student-faculty research. Students are encouraged to take part in a research project during the academics. This capstone experience is the cornerstone of our program.
APPLIED NUTRITION
Applied nutrition course deals with Macro , Micro nutrients, its uses, goals in deficiency issues and treatment. It also provides you knowledge about the food science .Food in the company or processing unit which makes the food ready to use and simple. It deals with adulteration, hygiene, sanitation, preservation. It provides the knowledge about different diseases and disorders related to the problems. It also gives the budget planning, community education with community disorders. Planning about different menu related to clinical conditions. Metabolic and immunological conditions. Diabetes, thyroid, gastrointestinal problems, fever etc. It provides different types of practical knowledge which includes qualitative and quantitative analysis of macro nutrient. It further helps in the testing of the presence of ascorbic acid in citric fruits and calcium in green leafy vegetables. It provides and encourages to make nutrient dense recipes. It also supports to know the presence of micro organism present in different foods. It gives awareness about the recommended daily/dietary allowance of different age group. We are aware about the future opportunities nutrition.
ZOOLOGY LAB
Zoology lab is a branch of Biology that includes study of Animals and Animal life. Zoology as a discipline includes study of the Behavior, Ecology and Anatomy, Physiology and Classification of animals.The Zoology laboratory provides the students with a suitable environment to develop a detailed understanding of the Animal Kingdom by explaining the Physical, Morophological ,Physiological and Evolutionary characteristics of animals. The laboratory portion of this course( Bsc) is well designed to study Anatomical details of animals in general or common examples of Specific phyla. Some of the information assigned in lab is provided with identification of dissected organs of animals, models, specimens and slides.
Now-a-days specific branches of Zoology are Apiculture, Fishery, Lac culture have became very popular. Zoology lab is provided with state of the art equipments like Microscopes, Dissection trays , Haemocytometer, Reagents, Permanent slides of Mitotic and Meiotic stages, Permanent Embryological slides, charts and Implements are required for the experiments.
BOTANY LAB
The Department of Botany is established to meet the needs of undergraduate students of life sciences .Labs are very well organized with a good number of specimens and micro slides.Dissection microscopes and compound microscopes are very well maintained and helps students to study the Anatomy of the flowering plants.The specimens displays Bacterial,Viral and Fungal diseased plants which helps students to develop interest towards Pathology . Embryological and palynological slides are also displayed.Cytological experiments promote students to observe the live stages of cells and cell organelles . Botanical tours are organized by the department to create enthusiasm among students to develop their learning abilities.
